A perfect recipe for cozy weekend evenings with friends after a long week of work. This recipe is the best for those, who not only are looking forward to making a delicious dessert, but also for those, who cook simply for an aesthetic pleasure.

The entire process will take you approximately 50 minutes. The ingredients are quite simple:

  • 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt

First of all, you need to prepare your oven and heat it to 350°.

While the oven is preheating, whip cream butter and both packed brown and granulated sugars for up to 4 minutes, until it gets fluffy. Add an egg and vanilla extract.

Take another bowl and mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Next, pour out the mixture you’ve prepared before to the bowl and make a thick dough.

Prepare the cookie sheets and cover them with parchment. Using a tablespoon put the balls of dough onto the sheets. You can also roll the dough out and cut it with a ball canning lid. Bake for up to 10 minutes, until the cookies start getting brown on the edges.

After removing the cookies from the oven let them cool completely. Use a cooling rack. Now prepare the ingredients for the frosting part:

  • 1 (8-oz.) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar

Beat cream cheese to make it smooth and mix it with powdered sugar and vanilla.

Put the frosting on each cookie with a tablespoon, then press the cookies into sugar.

Caramelize sugar on top of the cookies with a kitchen torch and leave them to cool down.

Now your lovely cookies are ready. Store them for no longer than 4 days.
