I Love a Good Wedding!
Over the 4th of July Weekend, I ventured to Philly for the Wedding of two of my Grad. School friends, Mickey and Ryan. I love a good wedding… and this one was fore sure a great one! There was good food, good friends, great music from a band called Jelly Roll (who knows how they got their name… but they kick ass!) and some seriously fantastic desserts! And, since I am fascinated with cake decorating, I obviously took lots of pics of their cake… which was simple and elegant. I loved it!
What I loved about their cake is that they didn’t go for the traditional figurines on top. They had these cute little sculpted pieces placed to the side. What an adorable little touch!
I’m not sure what’s going on with me lately, but the last few wedding’s Ive been to, I’ve managed to MISS THE CAKE!!! Maybe I am enjoying my drinks too much, or the dance floor… or maybe even the kick ass band… but really… How do I, really, of all people, manage to miss my favorite part of the wedding?!? Although I missed the official wedding cake at this wedding, I did not miss the DESSERT 
ROOM! Yes, I said it… and it will say it again… DESSERT ROOM! There was an ice sculpture, chocolate cakes, cheese cakes, pastery… you name it … it was there. Who’s ever idea this was might just might be a smart cookie in my eyes! So for this wedding… I will get over missing the actaully wedding cake.. because the Chocolate Cheese Cake I had was Scrumptious!
Congrats to Mickey Ryan! Thanks for the Dessert Room and for throwing such a FAB Wedding!
